Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Beijing Hupai Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”) handles information in SafeSnap. It is written for families using the app. It is not legal advice.

What SafeSnap does
SafeSnap is a family watch and keepsake app. You can watch whether enrolled family members stay in view, capture everyday photos and videos, and cartoonize them on the device. Core watch, capture, and cartoon work without an account.
On-device vs our servers
Face recognition and cartoon styling run only on your phone. We do not upload faces or frames for those features, and we do not send them to a third-party AI service.
Watch photos, videos, and face data stay on this device. Leave notices are text only. For an intrusion, one photo and a short clip are relayed to your inbox so you can see what happened.
Information we handle
This table is what we actually handle today. If a row does not apply to how you use SafeSnap, we do not collect it for you.

Permissions
Camera: watch, record moments, snap photos, and enroll faces.
Microphone: record moment videos.
Photos and videos: browse the SafeSnap album, import from the phone library, and enroll faces.
Notifications: leave and intrusion alerts, cartoon progress; helps keep watch running in the background.
Optional email alerts
If you turn on membership email alerts, we keep the address you bind with Google Firebase so we can send mail. This uses an anonymous ID, not a name-and-password account. Leave notices are text only. For an intrusion, we send one photo and a short video to your linked inbox. We do not keep those files after the send is done.
SMS alerts are not available in the current version.
Diagnostics
The Android app uses Google Firebase for crash reports and to see whether people open the app.
Membership and payments
Optional membership (spoken alerts, email alerts, watermark-free cartoons, more family slots) is sold through Google Play or the App Store. We do not collect your card number. The store’s privacy policy applies to payment.
What we do not do
We do not run a social network or public feed. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use watch video for advertising. We do not use relayed intrusion media—or your on-device faces and cartoons—to train recognition or generative models.
Children
SafeSnap is for parents and caregivers, not for children to operate. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children as operators. Children may appear in the camera during family watch. Do not enroll a child as the operator of the app.
Sharing and processors
If you enable email alerts, the provider that hosts your inbox receives the message (and, for intrusion, the attached photo and clip). We use the processors below only to run SafeSnap. We may disclose information if required by law.
Security
Email alerts are sent over an encrypted connection. We do not keep a cloud album of your watch or cartoons. No system is perfectly secure; if you think something went wrong, write to support@safesnap.cc.
Your choices
Core features need no account, so there is no cloud account to delete for everyday use. Uninstalling the app removes on-device face data from that phone. Photos, videos, and cartoons stay in the phone album—like pictures from the Camera app—until you delete them yourself.
Turn off email alerts in the app, or change the bound address, to stop new notices. To ask us to remove a bound-email record on our side, email support@safesnap.cc.
Retention
Face data stays on this phone until you delete a person in the app or uninstall. Photos, videos, and cartoons are saved to the phone album (like the Camera app) until you delete them there; uninstalling SafeSnap does not remove those files. Relayed intrusion files are not kept on our servers after we finish sending. A bound email is kept so we can send alerts until you change it or ask us to remove it.

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change. Material changes will be posted on this page.
